HANDS ON GREENVILLE DAY

The Upstate’s largest annual day of service returns on Saturday, May 2, 2026.

HOG DAY = saturday may 2nd, 2026

It’s back!

Hands On Greenville (HOG) Day is United Way of Greenville County’s largest annual day of service, when thousands of neighbors come together to turn community needs into action.

From planting gardens and painting classrooms to assembling care kits and revitalizing shared spaces, HOG Day offers volunteer opportunities for all ages and abilities.

What is Hands On Greenville (HOG) Day?

Each year:

  • Local nonprofits, schools and community organizations submit service projects.
  • Individuals, families, companies and faith-based groups sign up to serve.
  • Thousands of volunteers complete hands-on projects across Greenville County — all in one powerful morning.

How Can I Get Involved?

1. Submit a project

Have a project that could use volunteer support?

Community organizations are invited to submit projects for consideration.

⚠️ Important: You must be a registered nonprofit partner to host a project. Registration is free and approval typically takes one business day. Apply to become a nonprofit partner.

2. Sign Up to Volunteer

It takes the whole community to make HOG Day happen.

Serve on your own. Bring your family. Rally your coworkers. Gather your friends.

We’re currently collecting projects across Greenville County.

HANDS ON GREENVILLE DAY

Dates to Remember

Creating a measurable impact is about empowering people to strengthen the communities they’re part of — not just today, but for tomorrow. We’re about long-term solutions that not only create opportunities, but shatter barriers. Because to us, a person’s zip code shouldn’t limit his or her chance for success.

Together, we’re United Way of Greenville County.
