Success story — Greenville County Schools

From ninth grade to career-ready

Fifty-five ninth-graders. Forty-one living in poverty. All of them walking away with industry credentials that most adults don’t have. United Way of Greenville County funding made Heavy Metal possible — a program that treats students like professionals from day one and opens doors to careers that can break the cycle of poverty for good.
