United Way Young Philanthropists, or YPs, are focused on raising the quality of life for all in Greenville County through philanthropy and action.

This group of young leaders aged 40 and under invest in the future of Greenville County through their financial generosity and a volunteer focus on improving the school readiness of young children.

Members expand their social and professional networks with year-round opportunities to meet other young leaders committed to our community.

Born Learning TrailsYPs help install these special trails designed to encourage parent/child interaction and promote early learning opportunities for young children. YPs installed trails at Cleveland Park, Nicholtown, the Pavilion, Butler Springs Park, Herdklotz Park and Heritage Apartments.

Born Learning UpstateYPs sponsor BornLearningUpstate.org, which provides parent tips, early learning activities and resources to help parents turn everyday moments into learning moments.

Be A Book BunnyA spring event is held in conjunction with United Way’s annual Be a Book Bunny service project. Our goal is to collect quality, age-appropriate books and put them in the hands of young children in Greenville County.

YP Golf TournamentYPs host an annual tournament for members and non-members in support of the annual campaign each fall.

School Readiness: YPs projects include free public school book fairs and the Little Free Library project.
