Centennial Story: Loretta Lynn for United Way
Country music legend Loretta Lynn served as a spokesperson for United Way in 1972. That year, she composed a special song for the United Way campaign, inspired by a deaf child Lynn had met and United Way’s impact on that child and her family — just one example of the stories made possible by your support.
In the midst of our centennial, we’ve been dusting off the United Way archives and came across a special film canister containing a Lynn original.
