United Way Night at the Drive: Celebrating a Century of Service in Greenville County
Oh, what a night! On Tuesday, June 21, United Way brought together leadership donors, volunteers and community partners to honor our centennial with a special night at the Greenville Drive.
While we celebrated the generosity of our Palmetto Society, United Way programs like AmeriCorps Upstate, OnTrack Greenville and VITA, along with the Greenville Racial Equity and Economic Mobility (REEM) Commission and our United Way affinity groups, shared information and opportunities with our community at large. We look forward to continuing to expand the reach and impact of these programs and groups across the Upstate.
Without you, none of our work is possible. As we envision the next 100 years in our community, your support will be key to building a stronger, more equitable Greenville County — one where all people have access to the opportunities to achieve their full potential.
Thank you to the Greenville Drive for hosting another wonderful United Way Night at the Drive, to Michelin North America’s Will Whitely and his sons Gavin and Franklin for tossing out the first pitch, and to the students and staff at Phillis Wheatley Community Center for participating in our pre-game ceremonies.
We look forward to celebrating this special milestone with you all year long. Until we meet again, you can learn more about our history and share your United Way story here.
Thank you for continuing to show up to support our community and our future. Here’s to the next 100 years!
