Strong Women = Strong Community: Takeaways from our inaugural Women United Summit
On Thursday, Sept. 21, we welcomed over 500 Greenville County women to learn, connect and celebrate our collective impact at our inaugural Women United Summit. From our expert-led workshops to our luncheon featuring the extraordinary Coach Dawn Staley, we saw the power of women united to lead the way in our community.
Twenty-five years ago, United Way of Greenville County founded Women United (then known as Women’s Leadership) to harness the collective power of women in our community. A quarter century later, we continue to bring the energy, expertise and resources needed to get things done.
Because of Women United, Greenville County continues to move toward a future in which every family has the resources and support they need to build the lives they deserve.
Together, we heard from so many women who are experts in fields ranging from health, career growth and personal finance to childcare, DEI work and intergenerational communication. And it all led up to our Women Make a Difference Luncheon with Coach Staley, who inspired us all to expand our perspectives and share our little bit of net to help future leaders impact their communities.
